New Addition to our family

We had a rough few months with our pets - Both Dutch and Dakota got sick in December. Dick had thought he just couldn't get another dog after having a dog like Dakota - she was awesome

her last picture was at Christmas. Dick talked with a breeder of springers and went to visit him and see his new litter and of course there was a little dog that caught his eye so this week we added a new addition "Cali" she is quite a puppy. We are looking forward to getting her trained and not only having her hunt with Dick but also entered her in some Field Trials.

Meet Cali - she weighs in at 6 lbs. and is 21" long. She is very petite -she was the runt of the litter but Dick already has her retrieving in our hallway. She knows the hunting commands

hub, fetch, stay she is on her way.

Easter at the River

Then we went on to the River to spend Easter with the kids and friends. It was warm but windy. Some had to leave and go back to work but Robbie got to stay and he enjoyed riding the waverunner, learning how to drive the boat and a game of golf. We even had the ducks eating out of our hands.

Rodeo - Laughlin

We joined Don and Lea in Laughlin for the Rodeo - it was my first rodeo and I enjoyed it. We also did an incredible trip to Christmas Tree Lane and took a hike to the Grapevines. It was a 5 mile hike in which we encountered some interesting climbs. We found petroglyphs along the way, along with some interesting flowers, plants and rock formations. We came across lizards and a squirrel as we followed the running creek. We were trying to get to the waterfall but came to a deadend.

We found time to gamble at night and we played a couple rounds of golf during the day.
